MISSION STATEMENT

ARRA was established to provide the catalyst for raising the bar of professionalism in all aspects of open road racing.  It is with this objective in mind (and with much enthusiasm), that ARRA has established the following goals.

*   ESTABLISH OPEN ROAD RACING STANDARDS.  ARRA’S role as a sanctioning body is to provide the needed direction and guidelines for the sport of open road racing.  This includes everything from organizing and sanctioning events to establishing rules, requirements, regulations, and specifications pertaining to safety and procedures.

*   INTRODUCE ARRA TO NEW MARKETS.  ARRA is evaluating potential locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, and Utah.

*   DEVELOP AN ARRA SERIES OF EIGHT TO TEN EVENTS.  As ARRA continues to expand and add new event sites to its schedule, the participant and fan base will increase dramatically.

*   ESTABLISH ARRA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES.  ARRA will introduce its World Championship Points Series in 2001.  All drivers who participate in ARRA events will be eligible to compete for championship honors in their divisions.  Winners will be announced at the end of the season.  Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd,and 3rd place finishers.

*   MAINTAIN ARRA WEBSITE.  Communications is one of the most important building blocks of any successful organization.  Open road racing participants and fans will find ARRA’s website, www.arraracing.com, and informative.  ARRA will also answer questions and provide information by e-mail at arrainfo@aol.com

*   ARRA QUARTERLY NEWLETTER.  ARRA will publish a quarterly newsletter to keep its members informed about new and upcoming events as well as what’s new, who’s doing what, new products, new sponsors, etc.

*   SHOWCASE ARRA ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.  ARRA is talking with numerous networks about a full-service television package.  The coverage will showcase all racing activities, including the lifestyles of drivers, navigators, crew chiefs, fans, and race officials.  It will also feature in-depth information on what it is like to participate in one of the last great challenges.

*   SHOWCASE ARRA IN NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS.  ARRA is talking with numerous automotive publications about magazine sponsored events.  This would be in conjunction with co-promotions with their advertisers.
